sometimes you need a tsk tsk taskforce, or something of the like. if you look at the history of show spaces in the area, which ones lasted(loft) or continue to last(that house in davis) its because someone(s.s., ele) is there to keep shit under control..although there do seem to be exceptions..witch dome seems to be totally self-sufficent and the shows seem to run themselves on auto-pilot which is pretty cool.
:i'm not sure if you replied to the wrong post or i am in the process of being reverse meta-clowned by your genius,
:
:but my point was ultimately that the scene will--somehow--survive periodic obnoxiousness without needing a tsk tsk taskforce. it was only a matter of time for BB if that's all it took- good venues should be able to weather it and great venues should sort of encourage it.
:
:and i think we all agree that pouring a beer into a speaker is really dumb, and in a perfect world that guy could at least apologize to whomever did sound that night. i didn't have much to say about what happened but had to chime in when birdie shoveled that one on martin as well.

:::I wasn't aware that the whole of the "Sacramento music scene" relied solely on Bricka Bracka. Wow...well gee...I guess that place will be SORELY missed as such a great place to see all of the best shows that have come through in the past years!!! I guess we all better find new hobbies and new things to ruin now. I mean really, screw all of the other D.I.Y. venues, shows, houses, promoters, and bands in this "Sacramento underground music scene"....cause Bricka Bracka is/was THE only place worth a damn. Good bye sweet Sacramento underground music scene....may you rot eternally in hipster hell.

:::"if only the kids hadn't talked so loud..."
:::
:::surely this art gallery with upstairs neighbors, demonstrably the lynch pin of the sacramento underground music scene, could have provided many years of horseplay-free music had it not been for the reckless spillings and crotch jabs committed by a few of the area's most dangerous youths.

::::it takes a village to ruin a local music scene

:::::if you're insinuating that martin is intentionally being obtuse or dishonest here, that's pretty off the mark.
:::::
:::::i don't really have a strong opinion either way since it all seems pretty trivial, but i hope we can refrain from this level of internet poop-speak.
