Nah, nice try to respond w/a non-response, or to say that some one said there was a division of scenes when no one really said that.

What was said (roughly) is that the jokesters here, in this 'scene', (or one might read: "people who make stupid ass comments"), sometimes might make it uncomfortable for a newish potential poster or even a semi-regular contributor to feel like it is an appropriate venue to post info about a show or topic when their post is likely to be met with virtual ridicule if it falls outside the parameters of the uber-indie-err-undie-err-whatever that makes this area/board/scene whatever so cool and invulnerable to criticism. Of course said potential poster could just take their ball and go play somewhere else, and, sadly, I sincerely believe that is exactly what some of you would most prefer...and to dismiss what passes as discourse on this message board as 'horse hooey' in my opinion only serves to legitimize the points raised by the original poster.

::Just for info sake....I didn't JUST discover undietacos. I have checked it out many times for at least a year maybe year and a half. I often check out the site to see what's goin on around town. I then started using the site to let people know about other shows going on around town. I really didn't know that the site was strictly for a certain "type" of music....or a certain "type" of person for that matter. I have been booking shows by myself, completely D.I.Y. since 93/94. I have been involved in the underground music un-scene here in Sacramento in one way or another for quite a long time. I don't know too many people that have the dedication and heart that I have (not trying to be cocky), and that's what Pyrate Punx is all about....dedication and heart, collectively. It's pretty damned easy to make fun of things that we don't understand, so I understand all of the shit talk on here. You (Kenny) seem like the only person throughout this thread with anything even remotely worthwhile to say. If people are not interested in the type of stuff we're doing, fine....more fun for us and the people that ARE interested. If any of the shit talk is out of some kind of guilty feeling about "growing up and out of punk" and now you "listen to REAL music"....well....good luck with all that and there's still room for ya here in good ol fashioned punk rock when you come back to your senses(jk). Remember when it all fell under one umbrella??? I DO!!!

:::I know you were just funnin', and I know you're NOT a jaded scenester, which to me is even more reason we can all TRY and have a little humility when some 'outsider' type like say a 'pirate punk' (no matter how it's spelled) or whomever maybe discovers Undietacos for the first time and posts about shows or crap or whatevers...

:::Really, this area is a hotbed of creative activity and there's usually tons of great music/art going on any given night that may or may not be the same cup of tea we all would indulge in...but it's there to be sipped just the same.

:::Just so's you all know I'm not a regional 'hater'. Despite my ofttimes critical comments on the subject, I have a lot of ties to this region, and I think we all should be proud of the efforts of various folks around here to create an atmosphere where we can indulge our desires for the kinds of musical shows/events/fun/parties that attract diverse groups of people, whatever the venue or musical genre.
