:apparently there's a bug in OSX that doesn't render the tag on certain html thingies. so all mac people see (all i saw when i just tested it) are the names of the colors but not the background color of the form.

:so, because the system wasn't that great anyway (lots of spam that doesn't get posted still gets into the database somehow) i'll come up with something less wacky.
