yeah, i see what you mean now.

apparently there's a bug in OSX that doesn't render the tag on certain html thingies. so all mac people see (all i saw when i just tested it) are the names of the colors but not the background color of the form.

so, because the system wasn't that great anyway (lots of spam that doesn't get posted still gets into the database somehow) i'll come up with something less wacky.
