Oh. Well in that case, fuck 'em. The emos here could use a good thrashing as well. I'll get started by cutting Mike C's mullet the next time he drunkenly passes out at my place. Shit, check me out: who's the hick now, huh?
:Every time I read about violence against emos in Mexico, the people being implicated as attackers are punks and metalheads. It's not like the cops and priests and lawyers and judges and mom and dad and traditional authority figures are ganging up to suppress a cultural revolution. It's kids from other subcultures who are pissed off at what they perceive (legitimately?) as cultural theft.
:
:"An interesting fact of this, is that the Heavy Metal community is not the only one against emos, we can also find that, pop-listeners, skaters, punks, goths, and other people are against emos here in Mexico."
:
:Even the goths hate the emos. It makes sense, too. Goth gave us good music. Emo has delivered the opposite, while amplifying the most ridiculous excesses of goth fashion.

:: Fuckin' A, at least it means something to have emo hair in Mexico.
::Those kids are going to have the fight of their lives.
::
:: My friends & I used to get fucked with all the time in the early/mid 80's for looking/being different. Sometimes it escalated to violence and in one instance it lead to a death.(Robert Mullen, r.i.p.)
::
:: When I was 17 my mom gave me some money to take my brothers and sisters to the state fair and I had fucking carnies trying to pick fights with me the whole time, haha.
:: When I walked home from school, beer bottles, full soda cans and sometimes fireworks were thrown from passing vehicles and would either whizz past my head or out right nail me.
::
:: After a dance, a bunch of hicks from our school decided to get in a brawl with a group of punks/skins (some used to go to our school and were still friends w/ us) at a secluded place called Dyer's Lane in Elverta. Jim Mullen was stabbed in the heart and some of the hicks got hospitalized from getting chain whipped. So when the hicks came back the school, they were really on our asses. They actually went off on Jeff Boone who wasn't even at the fight, but the school security squashed it before it got real ugly.
::
:: Almost got my assed jumped in the bathroom from all the hick-shits but they cleared out fast when their look-out told them Pete Villegas and the Nunez brothers (a fierce family of boxers) were coming down the hall in hot pursuit.
::I was lucky my Mexican card was still valid. After that, some of the hicks came up and apologized during lunch. God bless the wrath of the Nunez brothers.
::
:: You know who was always cool with us? The long haired scuzzy metal dudes who were full time stoners. They were the first ones into Slayer, Exodus and Morbid Angel. I personally got along great with these guys and it's probably the reason why Art Lessing & I hit it off so well. (Mark too.)
::
:: Personally, I'm sick of looking at everyone's emo hair, it's not even a legitimate rebellion anymore. Now the fucks are bringing back mullets fer chris'sakes! It was the mullet-tards and hicks that were always trying to have at us.
::
:: On one hand you have the hipsters wearing mullets which emulate the pricks that would've beaten their asses back in the day;
:: and on the other, you have all these jock type assholes wearing mohawk/fauxhawks like they've always owned the shit.
::
:: So my sympathy goes out to the Mex-emos and bands like Los Llamarada.
::They're trailblazing in a land/culture that has the church jammed so far up their ass that they could barely make out their neurosis from real life.
::
::But then, that could be said for America as well.
::

:::It's always a tragedy when a group of organized young consumers are targeted for having the courage to buy differently than other consumers
