:like Rick says, there is a noise scene in Eugene. It is a little outside of your hour and a half driving range, but this year they are having a Noise fest on November 1st and 2nd if you are into that type of thing. It tends to be on the more brutal side of noise, and it is amazingly fun, lots of people on acid slamming around to noise emanating from a massive PA that partially used to belong to Santana.
