From my experience the best way to satisfy everyone is to have bands not play super long sets. Bands always want to hog the glory and show how cool they are, but that's not really the case as most folks came to talk over the bands music and mull about outside like a herd of lost goats. A happy medium can be met, to assure the bands they can show how super awesome they are while not offending the sensibilities of early risers and mulling goats.
