I've been putting together a show on 8/18 at The Stag for my 40th bday (again!) and I was gonna try and have White Dots play, but Mario says the bands' ultimate longevity is at issue and he respectfully declined the gig.
So now I am trying to find a local punk band (Sac/Davis/Woodland) that would be willing to headline (read: play last!) so folks don't leave early during the touring bands. Mario and I discussed both The Pizzas (Charles, do you want on this bill?) or The Bananas (Scott, I make the same offer to you and yours!)
Failing either or both of those two bands jumping on the bill, I was wondering if any of you might have any additional recommendations...
So far on this bill I have The Sore Thumbs and The Razorburns...and one other band, Re-Volts, may be playing, which is Spike and Darius' 'OTHER' band that is not Swingin Utters, Filthy Thieving Bastards, Lowdowns, etc.
Any great ideas? I'd like to think the local 'headliner' will have SOME draw, but even if the band doesn't have that much local draw or would expect to see maybe about 1-8 people normally show up for your gig, that is fine, I just want a local band to be on this bill.
