:50 runs very near echo lake, right? i think they said something like 165 homes lost, seems like this area is the place for people's second homes, cabins, vacation spots...meyers is the biggest town most affected six miles from so. lake tahoe.

actually i think you're right, 50 cuts through just north of echo then jets up to lake tahoe. i think the fire's more or less contained now, but that's right where people i know live.. it's totally like a "retirement house" style hoohah too, just like the other 220+ burned down. all signs point to bad times.
