Re: Re: Rad Show (ex-Coughs/Caroliner) Inside of a Transit Bus (Sat May 26)!!

2nd st. corridor is the most obvious place, and I concur w/Robert's mention that the liquor store is a closeby attraction! Perhaps an advance scouting mission? I'm willing to volunteer to drive/scout if anyone is interested. There are some side streets off 2nd st. that would serve as well, but there has been a good amount of infill in recent years and I think parking the bus on 2nd might be less of a aural nuisance (though more noticeable) since it's closer to the freeway. I think parking that bus in that industrial section south/east of maybe Pena or Cousteau would work like a charm!

:NEWTON rules too. also for fans of il corral type 2 minute nyuk nyuks.
:
:what about 2nd street? if you go east past all the industrial buildings and health centers there are more than a few completely empty side roads surrounded by 3' weeds, completely middle of nowhere style, it's beautiful. right off the freeway from the mace exit and not more than a 10 minute ride from the davis grid. plenty of obscured street parking. close to am/pm for beers. i used to take naps there when i was still at kiff.
:
:don't miss this. got to see this bus in st. paul last year, when it gets really full it looks like it's going to tip over.

::My friend John in Oakland is bringing this bus/venue to Sacto or Davis on Saturday, May 26th, and there's gonna be bands performing inside of it, including a really awesome band called Cell Block which is John's new thing with ex-members of Coughs who just moved out here from Chicago after their breakup. Also performing will be Newton, 2673, Sweet Nothing, Rainbow Blanket, and Pod Blotz. These bands will play in rapidfire procession and will not waste your time. I can tell you for sure that Rainbow Blanket and Pod Blotz are amazing noise. Pod Blotz is ex- or erstwhile members of Caroliner. Rainbow Blanket are the brightest noise to be poppin' off in Smell-land and il Corral and DIY underage L.A.
::
::The bus is a retired AC Transit bus with all the seats ripped out, and it fits a band plus approximately 50 people. It's got a sound system and lighting, and it's veggie-powered.
::
::Here's proof that this bus/venue actually exists...

::
::I'll post some pictures later.
::
::But please tell me where's a good place for this bus to be parked that is away from people who might complain, but is close enough for people to ride bikes to.
::
::Thanks,
