The results are in!
The first firing of the large hadron collider apparently resulted in the creation of a tiny black hole which quickly evaporated, showering the sensors with the predicted hawking radiation ... and created this guy, found giggling at center of the detector:


Luckily the earth was not destroyed as some had been fearing.
