:DAM House (est. 1989) presents another important show that will change your life…
:
:Saturday, March 10
:@ 503 E Street
:Davis, CA 95616
:
:7:00 p.m.
:
:COME HUNGRY! DJ Rick is making enough falafel for 70 people! Have you ever tried Sriracha and tahini sauce swirled together?!? A backline of beer will be provided to buzz level. BYO to top off. Don’t puke. Bring a friend to clean it up if you do.
:
:Donate money to these awesome bands, please! ($3-6 are suggestions, but throw in however much you want!) Bands will also be selling their records, tapes, and CDs. Please remember, we are saving you on food and drink already, so pay the bands…You’ll still come out ahead.
:
:This is the last Davis/Sacto-area show for the The Sharp Ease before their last show ever at L.A.’s the Smell. "Blank Generation revisited! The Sharp Ease's Paloma Parfrey sings like a riot grrl Richard Hell, strangling and yowling while her band plays '80s punk and barks (tongue-in-cheek, maybe?) "oi" backups. But where Richard was all Please Kill Me, who-says-it's-good-to-be-alive on stage, Paloma and her girls have fun. They sing odes to life preservers, crush songs about a local coffeehouse worker, and shriek like fruit bats with no warning whatsoever. But it's never dumb, never too punk for its own good. It may not be all that tight, but they're always playing well, getting adventurous with the breakdowns, and riding the bridges like The Bangs. AND they bend strings in their solos, like, long drawn out AC/DC string benders--which most everybody's too cool for nowadays. Sharp Ease! Yes!" -Adam Gnade, The Seattle Stranger

:As heard on 7” KDVS’ DJ Klinger’s Out of Order Records, The Trashies are Seattle's #1 "sh*t rock basement sensations. The songs from the Trashies debut full-length "Life Sucks Trash F*ck" would make GG Allin clog his ears with his own sh*t, p*ss, vomit, and blood while surfing onto the syringe laden shores of Dead Milkmen beach. Dieting is bull sh*t, period, the Trashies are proof.” That is according to sxsw.com. And if you were at Operation: Restore Maximum Freedom IV festival last October, you will surely remember feeling the supremely rockin’ dorkness as they ripped through their trashpunk barefoot on a set of garbage cans. They were loads of fun, but you know they’ll be way more suited to the fun and frenzy of a packed living room!

:Robin Williams on Fire is a young SF Bay Area band of hyper-hyphy-neo-no-wave artpunk whose CDR demo they slipped me last summer was a pulse-quickening party-stoker along the lines of AIDS Wolf, KK Rampage, and other radness that is alien weird but 100% fun and even danceable. A bevy of short-run CDR and tape releases have begun spewing forth.

:Skin Charmers is a new local band, perhaps from members of another mystery band called Killing Friends in the Ice. Who knows? Should you come early enough, you’ll probably enjoy a great new surprise and be O.G. fans by the time they bother registering their own MySpace band profile. Get in on the ground floor.
