:I don't think Brendan's snubbing me either, but "someone else books Thursday nights" is very different from "we don't do shows Thursday nights", which is the respose I got...anyway, not really a big deal just curious.

::I don't think Brendan's snubbing you. If I remember right, Thursday's are booked by Michael Leahy, focussing on accoustic/folk music. So if you learn to play the guitar sitting lotus style like a hippie, you might be able to play a Thursday night.

:::I'm hopeful once Brendan sees this post he might offer an opinion, but I just though it odd that twice I was refused DOV Thursday nights to book shows that Brendan MIGHT otherwise have gone for on other nights of the week...but now Thursdays seem to have live music going down at DOV, so I just sort of sit back and laugh...

:::For those of us who only occasionally book shows for bands and rely on the kindness of local promoters and venues in assisting, it's hard to recommend to ANY band that they play in Davis, because even though this town might be the best place for a show, there is no consistent promoter or venue that can be counted on to provide a stage...

::::What kind of shows are you trying to do there? If they are punk or hardcore or even rock you probably wouldn't have any luck there anyway. They prefer more folk or chill oriented shows.

:::::I have tried to book two separate shows at DOV on Thursday nights over the past few months and Brendan had told me implicitly that the Delta DOES NOT do Thursday shows, so I've booked these shows in elsewhere even though it would have been best to do them in Davis.
