On The Cover Of Midtown/Downtown Monthly

Well... Midtown Monthly did their cover story on me.....y'all should check it out...I like 60 percent of the article. I thought that the writing was good, and their were no errors in the facts. This is a good thing. OH......outside of the misspelling of my name on the cover...Quill..AN..not EN.....any way typos happen. I am glad to get some press finally. I have been at it for quite some time now and I feel people should be listening at this point....that being said, I only have a bit of criticism for the article

1.

I thought that it was a bit too focused on the negative reasons why I am making music (mom's death, cancer, pain suffering bla bla) as opposed to how I get ideas elsewhere (dreams, ideas, experiments, and a boring music scene, which I find amazingly inspiring)

......there was too much emphasis on my perceived roots in angst when creating music. The article seemed to convey the feeling that I am making desperate attempt to make as much music as I can before I die...because I have come close a few times. I do have a lot of pains that I can use as inspiration, but I don't rely on those events to fuel a simple love of making sounds that sound soundly sound.

2. They did not put contact information...or that we have a shows coming up here in Sac........or that there is a new CD for 5 bucks

But like i said...It is good to finnally get some press and I hope my little foot note here will be ok
and that I will get a foot in the door to a lot of people who have not heard of Art Lessing
