Sacramento screening of "Jericho's Echo: Punk Rock in the Holy Land," with director Liz Nord in attendance to introduce the film and for a Q&A following it.
This feature-length documentary looks at the punk rock scene in Israel through interviews and live footage of bands and explores their views on issues such as forced conscription, suicide bombings, the Palestinian conflict and religion.
So come out and meet "the other Liz" (Nord, the director - I imagine/hope for a night of wacky confusion what with 2 Liz's).
Friday November 3 at 7 PM - $5 gets ya in. Presented by Shiny Object and Fools Foundation. Location: Fools Foundation - 1025 19th St, Sacto. 19th & K - in the alley, in the basement. Digital projection on to a big screen. Seating is on folding chairs - feel free to bring a pillow or cushion or whatever.
We are doing regular weekly film screenings with Fools Foundation on Fridays at 7 PM - and most are $5 (unless otherwise noted in advance).
Coming up next week: "Graveyard Alive: A Zombie Nurse in Love" along with The Daily Show's Ed Helms in a hilarious short "documentary" entitled "Zombie American" on the discrimination suffered by zombies in America.
