6:30pm (please note early time!)...213 c street in davis. bring $4-5 for
touring bands please, they need it! martin will be there to do sound and i
hope help with stage management and make sure this thing does not run too
long and invite the police to hang out. i am not sure what order the bands
will play in...and i know it's a lot of bands but chad and kevin play like 6
minutes, and cool shady ladies play no more than 15, so together they are
only like one band in set length. so i think things should be fine. i
would recommend going to this on the merit of the bands alone, all of them
are really good and i'm not just saying that so you will go. i really mean
it. also, the earlier everyone shows up, the easier it will be to kick the
show off and get this thing over before neighbors get mad. i am sorry i
can't offer anyone from sacramento a ride this time, i will be in olympia
that night...sorry!

background: shoplifting's played here before, they're great. it's a bunch
of people that used to be in the chromatics/soiled doves/the vogue, also
hannah is playing drums for the gossip now. you can check out some of their
sweet music on the internet, i'm sure. i think young people that like to
have fun at shows and go crazy will like them. i don't know anything about
spider and the webs except that tobi from bikini kill is in this band, i'm
sure you'll like them. cool shady ladies is some people i have not heard
either, but i'll venture a guess that they're good too. eat the people is
one of my favorite local bands...so are chad and kevin, but you probably
already know that. also this is the first show at this particular house, be
cool and be sure not to ruin it for future fun times!"
