Hate to foist a dilemma on you...Go to this show? Go to that show? Either way, you'll see something awesome, and you'll miss something awesome.

Is it a problem? Not compared to all the other times when there's nothing fun to do!

CHILD PORNOGRAPHY (riverside)
SEX WITH GIRLS (portland)
K.I.T. (sf/oakland)
FOUR EYES (sack-toe!)
NARWHAL (davis teens!)

Price works like this...

It's basically FREE.

If you've never been to a DMS event at the Coffeehouse, you pay ONLY $2.00 for a one-time membership thingy.

For bands, please donate some money. Three bucks is good. Some people should donate five to make up for others who donate one or none. Hopefully, it will all work out fine for the bands.

Compared to any band docket I've put together, this has gotta be the most musically diverse, but all five bands are on the same wavelength when it comes to being 100% about having fun with friends and total strangers!

This show was booked at Pirate House sine October of 2004, but is now part of the Davismusicscene.org thing thanks to the bridge-building efforts of Lisa (thanks!).

Child Pornography is a brilliant, explosive dance band...they're relentless but never assaultive.

Sex With Girls are the godfathers of a genre I call "free twee," wherein elements of Half Japanese and Beat Happening and some of the more knowingly cute twee bands collide with free improvisation. One critic wrote that seeing Sex With Girls made him "embarrassed to be alive" (sense of humor helps to appreciate this awesomeness). They have more courage than any band I know.

K.I.T. are inspriational feelgood posi party-core played by friends in hearing protection advocacy from many well-loved bands like XBXRX, Warbler, Lil Pocketknife, Boxleitner, etc. Singer Christy is a human pogo stick and undiscriminatory high-fiver.

Y'all know Four Eyes! K.I.T. and Sex With Girls wanted to play with the Bananas, but I got 'em really excited about Four Eyes based on emailing them the URL link to the "Hat Nerd" mp3. See? I said all five of these bands are on the same vibe in a weird, cool way. This is gonna be a love-in that will totally get everyone unjaded!

Narwhal are Davis teens who play indie rock in the 1991 sense of the word, and if you are a Lofter from the good ol' daze, you will most likely fall in love with them! No NAMBLA card on me, folks, but I do know adorable when I see it/hear it!
