HI, SORRY THIS TOOK AWHILE TO CONFIRM, BUT NOW THINGS ARE 100% AND NOW ME STOKED BEYOND ALL TIME AND SPACE::::

KING COBRA (olympia, troubleman unlimited, www.thekingcobra.net)

COMPASSION IN ACTION (davis, www.brilliantredlights.com/cia.htm)

in case you missed KING COBRA the last 2 times they came through, this band features rachel from the need, kicking giant, and a bunch of other fun bands from the pantheon of olympia's finer bands of the last 10 years or so. also, i don't think tara jane o'neil is in the band anymore, but don't let that stop you from hearing their monster stomp rock. they are the lady version of melvins/karp school of heaviness and are sweet.

THE PLANET THE is from portland, oregon and have a new record coming out on olympia's 5rc label soon that will probably be sweet. their last album came out on the 54-40 or fight! label, they did a split with pointlineplane awhile ago too. my friend rob said he thought they were the best band in the world one time, they are really crazy prog-synth fusion robot jams for the a.d.d. riddled people that are off the ridalin.

COMPASSION IN ACTION i'm sure you have seen before, but if you haven't yet you should give them a whirl. they are super sweet as a band and as people and do a really crazy a.d.d. type fast jam like ex-models i think. quirky rock that is real fun!!!

and best of all this is happening at INFERNO'S PIZZA, 16th and broadway in sacramento! they haven't done shows in YEARS. big hands and feet to todd and jessica for kicking their door down and telling them they need to do fun music there. this will be fun. please bring $5 or so to give to bands on the tour (if you have less money that is ok, but you will be made to feel like a piece of poo if you do that cheapie! because i know washington mutual's atm is directly across the street and they have no service charge!!!). also, DAWSON would personally like to invite you to buy beer and food at inferno's. the pitch is that if they are siked on this show there will be more shows there...and we all know how bad we need all ages spaces in sacto for DIY FUN TIMES to be happening all the time. for inferno's to be siked, i think a few things need to happen: 1) nothing bad, and 2) everyone be's nice and gets something to eat and drink from the people that work there. that will cost a little money, but don't eat before the show and you'll be ok i think. also, todd promised to fly in a pizza from new york city to the show. i think that will be awesome.
