Brian, you are awesome. Fools is working on some stuff that will cost ya'll $20 for one performer. But you could always go and see them in SF for $25 plus gas and toll.
:I set this one up with Liz, so here is the deal...
:
:This tour is being set up by a real booking agency, and they basically set the ticket price. They gave me an option of charging a lower door price if I would agree a larger minimum guarantee, which I was not willing to do because since I have never worked with them I had to front 50% of it
:(I sent them the check for $125 last week).
:
:This does not mean that all FF shows are gonna be $8 from now on- Liz did not set the price, she only agreed to allow it at her venue. I guess I am hoping that sometimes to get a cool show folks will understand that the door price will be a bit higher. I have passed on a lot of great show opportunities in the past due to just this issue, so now I am giving it a shot, we'll see what happens. It was my call to do it, and if I am wrong then so be it, although I must admit that I probably won't take such a risk again any time soon if this one doesn't do okay.
:
:I suppose if you want to pass you could alway go and see them play at Bottom of this Hill on 8/5. Oh wait, that's $10! And the $6 for bridge tolls, and the gas, and three hours in the car...
