If anybody wants to post things totally unrelated to anything in sacramento, you can always post it at undiebarbara.org . That shit's a total failure. about 3 people in the area picked up on it and check it monthly, but just about everybody in the area that might make use of it prefer to list things on their myspace accounts.

undiebarbara is up for adoption to any scene that might make use of it.

:Also fair enough,
:
:I definitely don't want to see major concerts of commercial music here (ie i agree on kottonmouth kings, slipknot, etc), simply because this board was started for non-commercial awareness of all different types of shows in the area(s).
:
:I know nothing about the ODC venue, this is the "SF microfestival of new and imrpov music" which changes venues each year I think. I do post the occasional Mills or Luggage Gallery gig here but I don't paste everything from bayimprov board - like you say just special events that might encourage cross-city attendance.
:
:The general guideline should be: "don't spam the board with every out of town gig", but i don't think we should say "only post sacramento and davis shows here"
:
::
:::if interesting musicians, especially those coming from out of the states who wouldn't come through sacramento, are playing in the bay i post it. it takes 1.5 hours to get there. i do it probably monthly.
::
::FAIR ENOUGH
::
::SINCE THEY WERE ALL AT THE SAME VENUE I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE HABITUAL AND NOT AN INDICATOR THAT IS IS ACTUALLY ANY TYPE OF SPECIAL EVENT BECAUSE TO BE HONEST MAYBE I AM A PHILISTINE
::
::THAT SAID IT IS A SLIPPERY SLOPE AND PEOPLE WHO WANT TO POST EVERY GILMAN ST SHOW ETC WILL START GETTING THEIR OWN DUMB IDEAS AND JUST WHEN I THOUGHT THE PEOPLE OF CHICO FINALLY BEAT IT AND GOT THEIR OWN WWW SERIOUSLY WHO POSTED THE KOTTONMOUTH KINGS SHOW
::
:::
:::what is your point of posting this wish?
::
::1) BEING JERKY 2) NOT HAVING TO SEE 20 LISTINGS PER NIGHT OF EVERY SHOW SOMEONE THINKS MIGHT BE GOOD EVEN IF IT IS 800 MILES AWAY OR "ONLY" A 90 MINUTE DRIVE BUT I KNOW WISHES ARE A LOT LIKE ASSHOLES THEY GET IRRITATING IF YOU ITCH THEM TOO MUCH
