:Seriously, take into account the economic nosedive recently felt by everyone (but mostly small, family-owned businesses) and you've got the Ja-Lo's crisis in a nutshell.

:Without trying to be self-serving (because I love my job and want to keep it) I urge anyone who has enjoyed and participated in the all-ages shows at the Javalounge to play this benefit or just come! I can't say who all has signed on yet (organizer Ken Fury would be the one to ask) but I will say that there are at least four huge-draw groups that you'll kick yourself over not seeing them on the same bill.

:We're fortunate enough in this town to have people that care and want to see Sactown's young'uns get involved with, be personally responsible, and contribute positive action to their scene. Jake and Nik have tried their damnedest to make sure that all ages shows continue at their venue despite hassles from the cops and all other manner of stupid shit.

:Please support the Ja-Lo in its' time of need, and future all-ages venues that will inevitably have legal or financial trouble in this beautiful city that would sadly rather see it's youth in the malls, not the streets.
