You probably know a band called Devo pretty well. Maybe you've heard The Spits? Or how about The Screamers? If you like any of those three, give Octagon Control a try. These synth-wielding misanthropes oozing snot and sass drive rollicky garagepunk grooves pretty fiercely. I'm expecting boffo barrel-o'-monkeys fun! Have a listen...

Mom has become a fixture at house-parties and shows all over the Sacto underground the last couple of months. She shifts Annette Funicello faves into helium-headed overdrive, or sometimes sticks into goops of amber. Okay, it is pretty weird. But really fun! Fans of the Residents might enjoy!

Green Green is young fella new to Folsom, CA, and he has made a couple of very promising demos of bedroom recordings that have a pure indie-pop heart and daring vulnerability. I think the kid's a precocious genius. Essentially a solo project, but I'm gonna play drums for him and Julian from the Mayyors/Standard Tribesmen is gonna play bass. We even practiced last night! I swear that a couple of songs might bring to mind Times New Viking or The Chills.
