i don't think jealousy is the issue at all, kenneth.
merely a well-sharpened barb at one of the worst, and in the running for longest-lived worst band sacramento bands ever: The Whiskey Rebels.
i will wager to say that at one point during their set on the 29th they may instruct the audience to "mosh", regardless of whether there is a "mosh" already. if there is, such a statement would likely serve to strengthen the mosh, which is also a favorable outcome.
the Whiskey Rebels are so bad that if someone who had never played an instrument in their lives were to decree them outright "worst band in the milky way"--again, having themselves never played or written music at all, in a band or otherwise--one could not fault them or even begin to consider retorting with any statement that may be paraphrased "how would you know, you can't even <> {music relevance}".
there is as well the threat of random, jockish violence associated with the presence of the Whiskey Rebel's superfluous-chromosomed pack of wild ex-football players who had that type of mohawk that was 4-5" wide and only 1/2" higher than the rest of their crewcut. but now they have checks on their jackets and manic panic under their fingernails. buttflaps for some, juvenile tattoos for all.
in closing, awful, terrible, awful band, both artistically and in regards to the human soul. and i as narrator of this thread would like to suffix: "When our anonymous hero read again the post containing the lightning-hot witticism perforating sacramento's Whiskey Rebels, a second rolling LOL was heard throughout the valley, and then all fell quiet.
The End...?"
