PLEASE NOTE: This is the first show at DCTV that is open to the public, and this will run on-time, and it's only two bands, so the show will take maybe 90 minutes.

Of the ~500 bands I saw in 2005, OvO was one of the two best (along with Coughs). They are only a two-piece, a husband/wife duo of tympani and strings, but the tribal sludge they create has an intensity and fury that must come close to early Neubauten. It's dark and scary, yet there's some moments of ethnofolk beauty at times.

The Better to See You With come from Portland. You might remember that they played Fools Foundation with Silentist a couple years ago, and they were like some kinda spazzy hardcore with a Beefheart-damaged rhythmic stutter. Pretty cool, but since then, they got a new wraith-like female singer and added some icy synth from a member of Point Line Plane who has since also collaborated with SunnO))), and now they are even more amazing.
