One of THEE RADDEST bands on the planet today...

TERRIBLE TWOS (Detroit, MI)
+ whoever else??

Seriously, the Terrible Twos was 2007's best show that no one saw in a miserable echo chamber. I couldn't really confirm that it sounded awesome because the basement of the UC Davis Art Building makes the pre-fabric-swathed Fools Foundation sound like the Sydney Opera. There were six people there, yet these guys were wildly entertaining and played their guts out. Their records all sound incredible. Fans of Devo and the first A Frames LP and early Piranhas records MUST see the Terrible Twos. I count this band as one of the top four or five bands for live excitement...next to Tyvek and Coconut Coolouts. In a basement like Witch Dome, it can't help but bowl you over with radness. I'm so psyched for Terrible Twos that I'm getting a sub for my radio show. I NEVER wanna miss a radio show unless there's an extremely special reason. So you can at least drive or pedal over there to see this rad band.

Pocahaunted shows you the fun and friendly side of the moany-drone/psych which also has some Native American spiritual vibe running through it. Mr and Mrs Not Not Fun are the ringleaders of this project, so it can only be great and transcendental.

John Thill is one of the funniest and most clever lyricists to pick up a guitar and do the singer/songwriter thing. He has serious crossover potential event to Plan-It-X Records fans, too, 'cos of his fast ramshackle melodic approach. I think 98% of singer/songwriters touring by themselves with a guitar are LAME to the max, but this guy is one of the very finest exceptions. He used to be in Quem Quaeritis, the band that played in a tent and toured everywhere. They were kinda "okay" for three minutes and then bored for the next 30-45 minutes. So bad. And what a surprise it was that every record they ever made including CDR releases were actually AWESOME and hilarious. Well, John Thill was the reason QQ was so damn funny. So, I recommend him even if only for laughs.

Pukers are recommended by the Not Not Fun camp, but I've never heard them before. Splinter Cake is also a mystery.
