Sacramento Punk Shows at myspace.com/sacramentopunkshows is a big old list of punk stuff happening in and around Sacramento. It is only as good as the info we get, so please check it out and send in show information, updates, and corrections to us. In addition, there will be regular articles/interviews/and reviews of Sacramento and punk related stuff in the blog.
At this point we've got over 40 shows listed that are happening between now and the end of 2007. Here's a few coming up this next week that caught our eye:
Tuesday, OCTOBER 23RD, 8 p.m.
On the Y, 670 Fulton Ave.
Hellshock -- pdx stenchcore
AGE -- Japanese crust legends
Wendol
Rebels Advocate
put on by Sacramento Pyrate Punk
$7 at door, 21 and over
This is an absolutely great show and we are totally lucky to be one of less than a dozen cities in the world that get to see this show. If you need convincing as to why you should be at this show, please read 6 Reasons to Go to the Hellshock/AGE show at

And then on OCTOBER 26th you've got THREE great shows to choose from...
1) At On the Y is the first Punk Rock Holocaust starting at 6 p.m. with around 10 bands playing including the Cobra Skulls -- for info on that one read the Punk Rock Holocaust interview at http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=263043428&blogID=319392769
Here's what Maximum RocknRoll said about the recent Cobra Skulls LP "Standing Army", "Holy crap, where the fuck did this come from? I wasstunned by how good this is, it sounds like someonecross-bred the MISFITS and the LILLINGTONS....Absolutely top notch songwriting and singing, and veryintelligently written lyrics make this just about the best thing I've reviewed for some time. At times whenthey speed up the tempo it would remind you of olderCalifornian melodic punk, like BAD RELIGON andPENNYWISE, but tough too...like maybe SMOGTOWN.
2) Tyvek (from Detroit) + The Bananas + Coconut Coolouts + Nice Smile (Seattle) at the Delta of Venus, 122 B St. all ages 8 p.m. $5
The Bananas are just great, Tyvek has a split ep on local label -- S-S Records -- who says "Tyvek continue to explore the melodic fringe of DIY, stealing bits & pieces from the classics but pulling it off", and there are gonna be a whole bunch of stand-up drummers at this show.
or, on the other hand you could head out to the Orangevale VFW, 9346 Hazel Ave., for $10 all ages show starting at 8 p.m. with...
3) Hudson Falcons (New Jersey) + Whiskey Rebels + Pressure Point + Madhouse Disciples + The Roustabouts
This show is a vinyl release for Pressure Point's "Resist and Riot" LP, welcomes the Whiskey Rebels back from their European tour, and features special guests, the Hudson Falcons from New Jersey, who have been described as a cross between Stiff Little Fingers, Bruce Springsteen, and The Devil Dogs.
More info on these and a bunch of other stuff coming up at myspace.com/sacramentopunkshows
