you might have time to make this show.
I'll be booking to Davis after our set tonight...

Herb Diamante
the experience of Herb Diamante is something along the lines of- if
Morrisey died and went to hell, wrote some new songs down there, and
resurrected for a "comeback" in ghostly drag, all the while sucking
you in with his hypnotizing lounge and gentlemanly, post-apocalyptic
elegance.

this Sunday, Oct. 14th
KDVS Presents at the Delta of Venus

Herb Diamante (UK; Abduction records)
Goatgirl

Herb Diamante

FORMERLY REGARDED AS A SILKY-SMOOTH LOUNGE
CROONER, HE HAS RECENTLY TRANSFORMED INTO A KIND
OF SINISTER PARODY OF HIMSELF. IN FACT, HE MAY BE
AN IMPOSTER. FUELLED BY ABSINTHE AND POWERED BY
PATAPHYSICS, HERB PLOUGHS A LONELY & TORTURED
FURROW IN WHICH HE PLANTS SEEDS OF AVANT-GARDE
ROMANCE. LAST YEAR SAW THE RELEASE OF "MAY I
LIGHT YOUR CIGARETTE ?", HIS DEBUT ALBUM ON THE
SUN CITY GIRLS LABEL, ABDUCTION. HE IS CURRENTLY
WORKING ON A SECOND ALBUM, A SERIES OF
COLLABORATIONS WITH THE LIKES OF KINSKI, SUN CITY
GIRLS, MADAME P. DIALING IN, VIBRACATHEDRAL
ORCHESTRA, CLIMAX GOLDEN TWINS, AT JENNIE RICHIES
& A NUMBER OF OTHER KINDRED SPIRITS.

GOATGIRL

is the music of Jeppa K Hall. Her 21st century
storyballads, feature her unique vocal stylings and parlour guitar.
Goatgirl is an amazing storyteller with a deceivingly innocent,
cartoonish appearance. Yet under her seemingly benign exterior,
Goatgirl reeks of almost bad meat, the dark side of love and
manipulation on the subtlest of levels. Goatgirl has been included in
Josephine Foster's anti-war fundraiser compilation "too much fire to
roast human flesh," released by Arthur magazine. Goatgirl has
recently released her debut recording, "plum." Jeppa can be heard
on recordings by Bill Horist, the Sea Donkeys(Abduction),
the Monocarpics, and the Seattle Harmonic Voices.
