...you can support young bands in Mexico who are struggling to create their own psych/no-wave/weirdpunk scene. Actually, what I mean is...After much negotiation, all funmakers at DAM House in Davis have agreed upon this really rad show set to happen soon which features the teenage weirdpunk phenoms from Scott Soriano's S-S Records. The band is coming to California from their home in Monterrey, Mexico, for only four dates. This will most likely be your one chance to see this miraculous band, and because the travel costs are high and there are also other bands to pay, I'm asking for the help of interested people in pledging to support the band with donations exceeding the norm for bands who play donations-only house-shows. If you can give $10-20 or more for Los Llamarada, it will go a long way to helping this band recoup their travel expenses. Ideally, I'd like to pay them as if they'd packed 'em in at the Hemlock in SF. I mean, we have just hogged the band's only Saturday in California, so I want it to really count.
