:Santa Barbara- sbdiy.org , it seems joshua the great (or one someone else, not me) has recently added the ability for users to add shows and fliers. I don't know if it goes directly to the front page or if it requires the man's magical hands to alter the page himself.

:Los Angeles- concertpage.org also allows user submissions, but uses google calendar. They make a monthly printed copy that has advertisements. Makes me feel a little dirty, but then again it is LA, and pretty color prints apparently cost money, and I haven't seen a site with better resemblance to my beloved tacos for LA.
